Your Impact

You make a difference

All funds raised from the Christmas Swim go towards supporting people across COPE Galway’s Homeless, Domestic Abuse and Older People services in Galway.

Christmas can be one of the most magical times of the year but for many people it can be the loneliest. During the Christmas season and throughout the year, COPE Galway will be there to offer support, shelter, kindness and hope. Our domestic abuse refuge will be open. Our helplines will be answered. Our emergency homeless services will be operating. We will cook and deliver nutritious meals. We will pack and deliver food hampers and gifts. We will make calls and visits to people in our community who might otherwise go without.

Every euro you raise go directly towards keeping these vital services operating.

Could pay for essential support services for school aged children living in refuge or long term emergency accommodation.

Could provide home help and befriending for older people confined to home who are at risk of isolation.

Could help a family move into their forever home after living in emergency accommodation, buying bed linens, kitchen appliances and furniture.

At COPE Galway, we are dedicated to achieving the highest standards of best practice in fundraising. We are fully committed to achieving the standards contained within the Guidelines for Charitable Organisations on Fundraising from the Public. We will continually improve our fundraising practices and welcome feedback on our performance and how we might improve further.
